Crowded hall way Project
For this assignment I was tasked with fixing a common problem in schools today, crowded hallways. While their would be many expensive renovation options, I decided to go with a more creative option that cost nothing to implement. Instead of improving the hallways themselves, I decided to fix the schedule by creating an alternative schedule. I divided the students into two different groups split in half. The first group (A) would attend school eight minutes earlier cutting the hall way population in half. Eight minutes later the next group (B) would attend school while the first group remained in class. The following eight minute difference would continue for the rest of the day. The diagram below shows the exact schedule.
This project shows that if you think a little outside the box you can solve a problem without spending nearly as much as the obvious design. I think this project also demonstrated my skill for thinking outside the box when needed.
